Stephen Collins is being investigated for another molestation claim. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department confirmed on Wednesday, October 15 that they were opening an investigation into a report that the "7th Heaven" actor exposed himself to a 13-year-old girl in New York in 1983.
The law enforcement office said that they launched the investigation after the woman reported the alleged indecent exposure to the police on October 9. "Special Victims Bureau detectives are working with New York Police Department on this case," they said.
Three agencies are involved in investigations into alleged molestations in connection to the actor. The LAPD investigated similar accusation in 2012 after a woman claimed Collins molested her in New York and thought that he also did it to his relative in California. The allegation, however, was never substantiated. New York police previously also said they were launching an investigation following a claim that he molested a then 14-year-old girl in Manhattan in 1972.
Earlier this month, an audio of a man who allegedly is Collins admitting that he molested and/or exposing himself to some girls made its way out online. Coincidentally, the actor played a pastor with a pedophile past in a short movie called "Penance" which was released earlier this year.
