Rich Homie Quan's father, Corey Lamar, is currently in hospital after being shot multiple times on Monday morning, September 29. According to TMZ, Corey was at his barber shop in Atlanta when a robbery attempt occurred.
According to Rich's representative, Corey was shot four times during the hold up. He was then rushed to a nearby hospital to undergo a surgery. He is reportedly in critical condition but expected to survive.
Rich has been in the hospital all morning, waiting until his father's surgery is completed.
On the same day, Rich along with Birdman and Young Thug released their first joint project, "Rich Gang: The Tour, Part 1". The trio will start their tour in November. Birdman previously told MTV News of the collaboration, "I met Thug, flew him to L.A. to come see me and we connected from there, then Quan came to the table."
He added, "I always believed in unity, that's always been my thing. They were already working on a project, them two, and I said, 'Let's do it together. Let me take it to the next level for y'all, 'cause I see y'all got the potential and the talent.' "
