Ray J reportedly has been charged with 4 crimes following a recent arrest at a posh hotel. According to TMZ, the Los Angeles County D.A. hit the R&B singer, whose real name is William Ray Norwood Jr., with sexual battery, resisting arrest, assault and battery and vandalism.
The incident took place at Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Los Angeles on May 30. Back then, Ray reportedly had a drunken encounter with a woman at a bar. He was accused of brushing up against the woman's backside, but the police said that it was "accidental."
Ray later had an argument with a staffer and went a bit violent. "After the uniform police officers took Mr. Norwood into custody and placed him in the rear of a police vehicle, he became belligerent and used his feet to shatter the side window of the police vehicle," a statement from the police previously read. Ray later told the site that he kicked the window because he was claustrophobic.
Ray rose to fame after he made a sex tape with his then-girlfriend Kim Kardashian in 2007. A representative for the singer has not responded to request for comments on the charges.
