Jay-Z has dropped the music video for "Holy Grail", the lead single off his latest album "Magna Carta... Holy Grail". The video opens with Jay rapping alone in a depressing room of a huge mansion, which is filled with candelabras, champagne tower and Roman statues.

Collaborator Justin Timberlake makes an appearance as well. Donning an all-black outfit, the "Suit &Tie" hitmaker sings his part while being surrounded by sheet-covered dancers. He is also seen performing in front of an upside-down car that has been set on fire.

The artistic video is directed by Anthony Mandler, the same person behind the visuals for Rihanna's "Diamonds", Taylor Swift's "22" and Selena Gomez's "Come & Get It".

Jay-Z premiered the visual for "Holy Grail" on his Facebook page, making him the first major artist to do so. The video will run exclusively on the social media until Friday noon, August 30. After that, the official video will be available on YouTube and other video sharing sites.

"What we're doing with Jay-Z today is really exciting and we think emblematic of the evolution of music and how musicians can connect with their fans," said Nick Grudin, head of content partnerships for Facebook. "And we think that is particularly evident in Jay Z's approach here, which will really allow him to go direct to a massive and instant global audience."

"It's something that only Facebook I think can really deliver in this way, given the scale of the audiences musicians have and the global nature of those audiences and the social dynamics of what happens when they engage on Facebook," he added.
