The CW Develops Lauren Graham's Novel Adaptation
TV

The 'Gilmore Girls' actress will reunite with Warner Bros. TV and co-produce the new series with Ellen DeGeneres.

Lauren Graham is back on The CW, five years after "Gilmore Girls" ended its run on the network. A new series based on "Someday, Someday, Maybe", a New York Times best-selling novel written by the Lorelai Gilmore depicter, is currently in development.

Released in April, the book is a fictionalized story of Graham's own experience acting during the 1990s. It centers on a young woman with six months left on her three-year plan to make a career as an actress in New York City.

Deadline reports the actress who currently plays Sarah Braverman on NBC's "Parenthood" will pen the script. She will also executive-produce the project with Ellen DeGeneres' A Very Good Production, Jeff Kleeman ("The Change-Up") and Warner Bros. TV, which produced all seven seasons of Graham's "Gilmore Girls".
