Bethenny Frankel comments on the legal woes faced by "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Teresa Giudice and her husband Joe. The former member of "The Real Housewives of New York City" openly admits that she has no sympathy for Teresa.

"Do I feel sorry for them? No, I don't. Not so much, because it broke the law. You broke the law and you went on television. That's not really that smart," Bethenny says at the TCA summer press tour. She, however, adds, "I feel badly for them because they have kids, and their kids didn't sign up for this."

"My first thought today was, 'Oh, if they weren't on reality TV, none of this would probably ever be exposed.' And it's just funny how certain people are [like a] moth to a flame," she continues. "It's almost like - not that you want to get caught - but people who love to be in the spotlight often have a lot of skeletons in their closet. It's just an interesting thing."

Teresa and Joe are indicted on 39 counts of "conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, bank fraud, making false statements on loan applications and bankruptcy fraud." He is also charged for evading taxes from 2004 through 2008.

They could face up to 20 or 30 years in prison if convicted. In addition, he could be deported to his home country of Italy and she could be terminated from the Bravo reality TV show. As for now, they are to limit their travel to New Jersey and New York only, pending the next court hearing on August 14.
