A first look at Tina Turner's wedding with her longtime partner Erwin Bach in Switzerland has just hit the web. The music icon is seen wearing an emerald green Giorgio Armani gown for the special day. The female guests donned white dresses as requested, and the males suited up in tuxedos.
The couple swapped vows at an intimate civil ceremony on the banks of Lake Zurich in Kusnacht, northern Switzerland. They celebrated their union in a Buddhist ceremony at their Kusnacht manor a few days later with David Bowie, Sade and Oprah Winfrey among the guests.
Turner and Bach, a German-born record producer, have been together for nearly 30 years. They met when he worked as a record producer at EMI. They have been living in a lake house Chateau Algonquin in the Zurich suburb since 1995. She retired in 2009 after wrapping up her final tour.
Born Anna Mae Bullock, Turner was previously married to Ike Turner. She rose to stardom as a member of Ike & Tina. After a tumultuous relationship with Ike, she went solo and launched a successful career. Hit singles during her career in music included "River Deep - Mountain High".
She filed for divorce from Ike in 1974, and the marriage officially ended in 1978. Her ex-husband died from a cocaine overdose in 2007.
Turner gave up her U.S. citizenship to become a full-pledged Switzerland citizen earlier this year. "I am very happy in Switzerland and I feel at home here. I could not imagine a better place to live," she told German newspaper Blick.
