Michael Lohan reveals his daughter's addiction was jumpstarted by an assistant in the film 'Just My Luck'.

While Lindsay Lohan is currently completing a 90-day court ordered rehab from her drug and alcohol addictions, her father Michael Lohan is speaking out anew about her downtrodden daughter. The 53-year-old Lohan says his daughter first tried drugs at the age of 18 while she was filming the romantic-comedy back in 2005.

"Lindsay was filming in New Orleans and I got a call saying she had overdosed on cocaine. One of her assistants had given her the drug," Michael states. "I was so angry I got a gun from the house and planned to go to New Orleans to kill him. I couldn't believe what had happened to my daughter. I was just so angry."

In his rage on the way to the airport, Michael crashed his car and was eventually arrested for drunk driving, for which he served a year-long sentence. Mr. Lohan, who himself is a recovering addict who works as a counselor at a drug rehab center, says "if Lindsay does relapse, then I think it will be over for her with Hollywood. There will be no more second or third chances. She has got to stay clean and sober this time."

For her almost ten-year addiction to cocaine, painkillers and alcohol, Lindsay has accumulated a total of 250 days in rehab. Her latest court ordered rehab is her sixth time in treatment facility in six years but this time, mom Dina is optimistic, saying, "It's been a long road and she's going to be fine."
