The former 'O.C.' star, whose house was robbed 5 times by the gang of teenage robbers, is against director Sofia Coppola's decision to 'glorify' the 'upsetting' burglaries in her new film.

Rachel Bilson doesn't have a good impression about "The Bling Ring", a film based on the true story of a Los Angeles-based group of teenagers who robbed celebrities' houses. The 31-year-old actress, who was one of the real celebrity victims, slammed director Sofia Coppola's decision to "glorify" the burglaries in her film.
"I thought it was weird to glorify something that was so upsetting for a lot of people," said the former "O.C" star. Bilson continued, "It's important to detach from material things, but the special, personal things I lost are hard to forget."
Bilson was among other celebrities, including Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan and Orlando Bloom, whose houses were targeted by the young robbers between 2008 and 2009. She reportedly lost millions of dollars worth of clothing and jewelry. She also said that the thieves took away her mother's engagement ring.
When testifying at the trial of real life gang members, Bilson revealed that the burglary left her traumatized. "It took me a while to feel comfortable staying [in my bedroom]. I wouldn't sleep in my bedroom for about a month. And I was convinced that I needed to sell my house and get out of there, because I was very scared. But I'm still there," she added.
