Tionne Watkins and Rozanda Thomas disappoint Lisa Lopes' family when they hire Japanese singer Namie Amuro to fill in for the late group member for a remake version of the 1995 hit.

Nearly two decades after releasing "Waterfalls", TLC released a new version of the song with Japanese singer Namie Amuro replacing the group's deceased member, Lisa Lopes a.k.a. Left Eye. In the remake, which is dedicated to TLC's fans in Japan, Amuro appears alongside Tionne Watkins and Rozanda Thomas to rap Lopes' iconic verse.

However, not everyone's happy with the replacement. The most disappointed one is Lopes' family. The late singer's sister, Reigndrop Lopes, told TMZ that she and the rest of her family were not pleased with the change.

"I did not know about it until a fan posted it online," she told the site. "I mean it would have been nice if they would have given us a heads up before being surprised." She also said her mother was "hurt" and wanted to see her late daughter's memory honored by keeping Lopes on the track.

"Waterfall" is one of TLC's biggest hits. The single topped Billboard chart for seven weeks and was nominated for two Grammys at the 1996 Grammy Awards.

It isn't the first collaboration between TLC and Amuro. Watkins and Thomas recently made cameo appearances in a music video for Amuro's "Hands on Me".
