The rocker's new clip premiere coincides with the release of his new studio album 'Wrote a Song for Everyone'.

Legendary recording artist and guitarist John Fogerty unveils a music video of his new single "Mystic Highway" as he also releases his brand new album "Wrote a Song for Everyone". Although both came out on Tuesday, May 28, the same day as the 68-year-old singer's birthday and concert at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles, the track is being released as a single along with another new song "Train of Fools".
The new songs are being released separately as the new album is a compilation of updated versions of Fogerty classics from when he was still making music with his swamp rock/roots rock band Creedence Clearwater Revival. For the new renditions, Fogerty calls on such big names as Foo Fighters, Pistol Annies' Miranda Lambert, Grammy and Oscar-winning artist Jennifer Hudson, rock'n'roll singer/songwriter Bob Seger and country crooner Brad Paisley.
The Bill Fishman-directed video begins with Fogerty loading stuff at the back of his pick-up truck as he readies for a road trip. As he drives across rural Southern California, he reflects on his life and career as images from his long illustrious career are superimposed on the scenery. Upon reaching a rustic cabin, Fogerty arrives to a family get-together, ending with him on the porch playing music with his son Shane.
"I pictured a group of travelers, perhaps an extended family, standing on the road with their faces to the sky," Fogerty explains the concept behind the song he came up with 2 decades ago. "They're worn, but not weary. They are in constant motion along their journey of destiny. They don't know exactly where or how long they'll be traveling, but they do understand that the end of the road, wherever that is, will be worth the trip."
