R 'n' B singer/songwriter John Legend is gearing up for the release of his much-anticipated upcoming new album "Love in the Future", his fourth solo studio set. First to be dropped by the 33-year-old singer is its intro track "The Beginning", which serves as the album's teaser/promo single. It precedes "Who Do We Think We Are", the actual first single off Legend's new album, set to be released the week after, on March 25.

"You've been waiting long enough, this is just 'The Beginning'," the Grammy Award-winning artist tweeted to eagerly awaiting fans and followers. The three-and-a-half-minute romantic ballad shows off Legend's soulful vocals reminiscent of his recent hit single "Tonight (Best You Ever Had)".

"Last night was the last night you'll ever spend alone," Legend declares at the opening of the track, where he sings about "changing the world" with the object of his affection. The hook features more "changes" and a positive outlook quite apt for a song entitled "The Beginning".

"So after you change your clothes / Girl, if you change your mind / I'm ready, whatever time / It's the beginning of forever / You don't have to call / Sometimes you just know / It's the beginning of forever."

With such a catchy new song, fans are sure to get more excited over the Rick Ross-assisted single "Who Do We Think We Are" which will be released in a few days. More so with the rest of the Kanye West executive-produced "Love in the Future" also produced by Hit-Boy.
