Steven Tyler was hit with split rumor but his representative has confirmed that the former "American Idol" judge was just going through a phase with fiancee Erin Brady. The representative said that any claim to the contrary is "absolutely false and misleading".

Tyler and Brady have been dating since 2006 and engaged since December last year. The report that Tyler broke his engagement to Brady was first suggested by New York Post, which said that he dedicated his time to sobriety as he prepares for Aerosmith's tour and new album release. Gossip Cop added that they have broken up before and this time it was probably for good.

However, Tyler's rep said in a statement, "Just as any couple goes through trials and tribulations in a relationship, Steven and Erin are asking for their privacy at this time. They are engaged to be married and each is committed to their sobriety."

Tyler revealed back in March that the wedding plan was going well. "I thought either [Hawaii] or Phuket [in Thailand]," he told Life & Style of the wedding venue. "I'm all about writing 'I love you' on a beach and surprising somebody," he continued. "It will be somewhere, but it's going to be way over-the-top romantic."

This would be Tyler's third marriage. He was married to former Andy Warhol model Cyrinda Foxe and clothing designer Teresa Barrick.
