Alyson Michalka and AJ Michalka have scored a comedy series which has been sold to FOX. The sisters, who previously were known as Aly & AJ before changing their moniker to 78violet, will headline a half-hour comedy from writers Matt Dearborn and Adam Goldberg of Happy Madison and Sony Pictures TV.

According to Deadline, the single-camera comedy will revolve around Aly and AJ's characters' life. They will play versions of themselves, moving from the house to their first apartment. However, their exciting new lives are interrupted when their mother unexpectedly moves in with them.

This is not the girls' first foray into television. They made their acting debut on DCOM "Cow Belles", which happened to be written by Dearborn. Aly was one of the lead stars of The CW's "Hellcats", in which AJ made recurring appearances.

Together, Aly and AJ Michalka will serve as co-producers of the not-yet-titled comedy.
