'We've seen the reports surfacing that they have been confirmed to participate but that is not the case,' so a rep claims, clarifying rumors of Missy and Timbo's involvement in the Drake-led album.

It's official, Missy Elliott and Timbaland will not be involved in Aaliyah's posthumous album, which is produced by Drake. Contrary to Blackguard Records' previous statement that the two artists would be featured in the record, a representative for Missy claims that "it is not the case."

"Although Missy and Timbaland always strive to keep the memory of their close friend alive, we have not been contacted about the project nor are there any plans at this time to participate," so the rep, Mona Scott-Young, says in a press release obtained by Billboard.

"We've seen the reports surfacing that they have been confirmed to participate but that is not the case. Both Missy and Timbaland are very sensitive to the loss still being felt by the family so we wanted to clear up any misinformation being circulated."

Previously, Timbo himself said that Drizzy should have reached out to him and Missy for the project. "I know they trying to drop some Aaliyah records, but if he do it, it should be with me and Missy," so he stated.

"The proper way for him to do that would be for me, him and Missy to be all on the record. The best decision, what the fans would want to see is all three of us. It can't be something to make money off of 'cause I think it's wrong to make money off the dead."

Drake has recently debuted a never-before-heard song by Aaliyah called "Enough Said". Following the release, the late singer's family declared that they were neither consulted about nor supportive of the album project, which would mark Aaliyah's second posthumous release.
