Clint Eastwood's "Trouble with the Curve" gets its first trailer available for viewing pleasure. Presenting a strong storyline in a lighter way, the sneak peek offers a look at a good chemistry between Eastwood and his on-screen daughter Amy Adams.
The two seem to argue and have disagreement in a lot of things, but they manage to protect each other. Justin Timberlake is also featured in the trailer, playing Eastwood's buddy who has his eyes on Adams.
Eastwood plays Gus, an aging Atlanta Braves scout, while Timberlake stars as Johnny, a rival young scout who later develops respect for Gus. Despite having vision problems, Gus heads on a last road trip to Atlanta with his adult daughter to scout a hotshot prospect.
"Trouble with the Curve" marks Eastwood's first acting and non-directorial stint since 2008's "Gran Torino". His longtime comrade Robert Lorenz serves as the director, while Randy Brown works to pen the script.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Lorenz explained Eastwood and Timberlake's bromance in the movie. "They're friendly. When Johnny was a ballplayer, Gus scouted him," he said before adding that Timberlake's character often helps Eastwood's character deal with his daughter, "At every moment she's ready to throw it in, Justin's character is there to sort of remind her of the value of continuing to pursue their relationship."
The baseball drama will be released in the U.S. on September 28.
