Adam Lambert will flex his acting muscle on ABC Family's "Pretty Little Liars". The former "American Idol" runner-up has been booked to guest star as well as perform on the drama show's Halloween episode which airs in October as a treat before the show returns from its winter break.

Ryan Seacrest announced the casting on his website, quickly followed by a confirmation from Lambert himself on Twitter. "Yup--- imma be a Pretty Little Liar!" the singer tweeted. The show's star, Lucy Hale, then tweeted to him, "ahhhh! We are so excited !", which was replied with "so am I!".

The 13th episode in the 3rd season is titled "This Is a Dark Ride". Joseph Dougherty, who wrote the episode, confirmed that the stars and crew are getting ready to shoot the episode next week. According to online reports, "Adam will appear in a scene with Lucy Hale and perform two songs."

"Pretty Little Liars" will have a mid-season finale in August, air the holiday episode in October and finish the season in winter.
