When "True Blood" returns with a new episode next week, Sookie is in danger as she comes face to face with Russell Edgington. With Alcide, Bill and Eric being attacked, she has no one to protect her when Russell comes approaching her, ready to stick his fangs on her neck.
Over at Fangtasia, a fight erupts between Jessica and Tara, likely about Hoyt. Pam breaks up the fight, and praises Tara for her tenacity. Later, Hoyt and Jessica talk at a booth, where the former teases the latter and claims that she still cares for him.
Eric returns to the Vampire Authority's headquarters and meets the still-imprisoned Nora, who makes him confused when she mentions Lilith. Meanwhile, fearing for his family's safety, Terry blames his curse for his troubles with Arlene and tells her that he has to go.
Also in the episode titled "Hopeless" which will air Sunday, July 15 at 9 P.M. ET on HBO, Lafayette visits his mother Ruby Jean, who also received a disturbing message from Jesus. Alcide challenges J.D., Sam offers to help Andy investigate the recent shootings, and Roman lays out his plans to take out Russell.
