Phillip Phillips is enjoying the success that comes with his coronation as season 11 winner of "American Idol". The 21-year-old singer has his debut single, "Home", on the top of the iTunes Songs Chart. Asked how he feels about it during a conference call Thursday, he simply told reporters, "Insane, but I'm ready to get my own stuff out there."

Having a #1 song wasn't the only feat Phillips managed to obtain on the chart. Eight of his cover songs from season 11 can be found throughout the Top 100, including "We've Got Tonight" (#12), "Volcano" (#17), "Stand by Me" (#29) and "Beggin' " (#37). The Georgia native also has his "Idol" compilation album, "Journey to the Finale", landing on #3 on the iTunes overall album chart.

Speaking of his first single, Phillips admitted during the conference call, "It's a good song, but it's not something I would write. I'm glad people like it." He further explained, "It's a little too pop for me. I don't put in any of those 'ooohs.' I'm a little more rock than that. Hopefully people will enjoy what I have to put out. Some jazz-rock stuff. But, it's a good song."

During the chat, the singer/songwriter also weighed in on the comparison between him and four previous winners, Scotty McCreery, Lee DeWyze, Kris Allen and David Cook. "We're all different in our ways, and I feel like I'm a lot different than the other ones," he said. "I'm not that great a singer. I play the guitar a lot different. They sing a lot better than me. So I feel that I'm pretty different from them."
