The postponement of Van Halen's tour might be surprising for their fans, but not for Sammy Hagar. The rock band's former member, who currently plays in another group Chickenfoot with original member of the Van Halen Michael Anthony, said he had foreseen the woe.

"They're hard people to get along with, those brothers," Hagar told The Associated Press. "Otherwise I'd still be in the band." He additionally said, "I'm surprised it took this long" for them to cut short the roadshow. "I predicted this was going to happen a lot sooner. I lost money on that bet!" he mocked.

No official reason has been given regarding the postponement of the tour, but rumors about a fallout among the members have since swirled on the web. According to a Rolling Stone source, the members "hate each other." The source claimed, "The band is arguing like mad. They are fighting."

Another source, however, argued to TMZ that the band put some of the concerts on hold to allow them to "recharge their engines." They thought the tour was "too much, too fast," and were afraid they might be "losing their focus." "They want to make sure their concerts are not a routine," a different insider claimed. "They want every performance to be special."

Van Halen tour with Eddie Van Halen, Alex Van Halen, David Lee Roth and Eddie's son Wolfgang Van Halen in the lineup. They kicked off the roadshow on February 18 in Louisville and have hit more than 40 cities across North America.

The band were supposed to stay on the road until late September, but halted the gigs that follow their June 26 concert in New Orleans despite the fact that tickets sold well. Some of the non-canceled concerts have nearly sold out, including a June 19 show at Xcel Energy Center in Minneapolis and a June 20 gig at American Airlines Center in Dallas.
