Beyonce Knowles finally shared her thoughts on her fake pregnancy rumors. In an interview with PEOPLE, the recently-crowned 2012 World's Most Beautiful Woman called previous reports that she had a surrogate to carry her first child with Jay-Z "crazy". She said, "It wasn't hurtful, it was just crazy. [I thought] 'Where did they come up with this?' "

Though the "Countdown" singer didn't let the reports bother her, her mother Tina was clearly upset. "I thought it was very unfair and very cruel that someone would think that someone would be that diabolical to keep up a charade like that for nine months," she commented. "As a mother it was painful for me to hear the crazy rumors. And I even had people ask me, which was so ridiculous."

Tina also spoke out against rumors of prosthetic belly that surfaced after Beyonce's bump appeared to deflate when she sat down for an Australian TV show's interview. "It was a fabric that folded - does fabric not fold?" she fired back. "Oh my gosh, so stupid." Still, she added, "There was so much love and well wishes from all over the world - it made it easier to deal with the stupid rumors."

Beyonce gave birth to her first daughter, Blue Ivy, on January 7. In a joint statement about her baby's arrival, she and her music mogul husband described Blue's birth as "emotional and extremely peaceful." Saying they "are in heaven," they added, "We are thankful to everyone for all your prayers, well wishes, love and support."
