Rumor has it, Lily Allen is back to studio to work on new music for a comeback. The mother of one, who announced retirement from music in 2009, reportedly has written songs about her baby and husband for her upcoming return to the music scene.

"Her life has changed so much since her last album and she now has a different perspective," a source told the Daily Star about how she evolved since 2009's "It's Not Me, It's You". The source added, "Lily wants a more mature sound and is penning tracks about Ethel and Sam."

"Lily has been in the studio trying different sounds and writing new tracks," the insider furthermore testified. "She's not at a stage where she can start recording but the new album is definitely underway and there's a chance it could be released early next year."

Talking about how the decision to return to music entered her mind, the source stated, "When Lily retired she honestly thought she'd never record again. But she started writing for the new Bridget Jones musical and that gave her the bug back."

Lily Allen gave birth to her first child last fall after previously suffering from two miscarriages. She and her husband Sam Cooper named the newborn Ethel Mary.
