Adele remains No. 1 on Billboard Hot 200, but she unfortunately fails to extend her reign for another week on Hot 100. By securing the first position on the U.S. album chart, the Grammy winner prevents Lana Del Rey from debuting atop the list. On the single chart, meanwhile, the British singer has to give up the penthouse to Kelly Clarkson.

Adele stays at the top spot on Hot 200 by selling 122,000 copies of her album "21". This marks her 19th non-consecutive week sitting at the throne of the chart. With one more week on the top spot, she will be tied with Whitney Houston and Elvis Presley who both scored 20-week No. 1 run. The former owed it to "The Bodyguard" soundtrack, and the later to "Blue Hawaii".

Meanwhile, internet sensation Del Rey enters the chart at No. 2 with 77,000 units of her effort "Born to Die". She becomes the first female artist, since Jackie Evancho, to have the highest entry on the album chart with a full-length major label debut. Last year, the "America's Got Talent" alum landed at No. 2 with her "Dream With Me" (161,000 copies).

The other two new entries on the chart are Leonard Cohen and Fred Hammond. The former rounds up the top 3 with his latest studio installment "Old Ideas", which opens with 41,000 copies. The latter, meanwhile, arrives at No. 8 with his newly-released CD "God, Love & Romance", which garners 26,000 units in its first week on sale.

On the Hot 100, Adele is forced to fall to the second spot. Her single "Set Fire to the Rain" gets 127 million audience impressions (up 8|percent|), but suffers 1|percent| decrease in digital download (165,000). Her competitor, Clarkson, snatches the top spot, thanks to the 237,000 downloads gained by "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)". The single additionally gets 58 million audience impressions on the radios.
