How Amanda Seyfried will look like as the iconic adult film star Linda Lovelace in biopic "Lovelace" has been revealed in a first look photo obtained by Entertainment Weekly. Ditching her blond locks and going brunette, Amanda is seen posing with co-star Peter Sarsgaard, who plays Linda's abusive husband Chuck Traynor, in a vintage convertible car.
The picture seemingly shows Linda's happier time with Chuck before the husband abusively forced her to work as a porn star. The two look happy in the picture as Chuck wraps his arms around his wife who shows off a smiley face.
Linda was just a schoolgirl in Florida before she met and married Chuck, who transformed her into the world's most famous adult movie star. She is famously known for starring in 1972's hardcore porn movie "Deep Throat", which was one of the highest grossing indie films of all time. She died in 2002 in a fatal automobile accident.
The production of "Lovelace" has begun since December 2011 in Los Angeles. Joining Amanda and Peter in the cast ensemble are Hank Azaria as "Deep Throat" director, Adam Brody as Linda's co-star in the porn film, Sharon Stone and Robert Patrick as her parents, Juno Temple as her bestfriend, and Wes Bentley as her second husband.
Bobby Cannavale, Chris Noth and Eric Roberts are additionally tackling the supporting roles, while Demi Moore and James Franco are set to make cameo as feminist activist Gloria Steinem and Playboy founder Hugh Hefner respectively.
Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman have been tapped to direct the biopic, which is based on Eric Danville's "The Complete Linda Lovelace", a biography published in 2001, a year before the iconic star died. Serving as the screenwriters for the film are Merritt Johnson and Andy Bellin.
Meanwhile, another Linda Lovelace biopic "Inferno: A Linda Lovelace Story" is currently in the production stage with Malin Akerman tackling the female lead. The rival movie is helmed by filmmaker Matthew Wilder and is scheduled to open in theaters nationwide sometime in 2013.
