Robert De Niro has one happy news to share just in time for Christmas. On Friday, December 23, the General Bill Sullivan of "The Good Shepherd" announced to the press through his representative that he and his wife, Grace Hightower, have become proud parents to a baby girl.
The new addition to the De Niro family was born via surrogate and named Helen Grace. A second child for the couple who have been married for almost 14 years, the baby weighed in at 7 lbs., 2 oz. at time of birth. She joins older brother, 13-year-old Elliot. No further details about the birth were provided.
68-year-old De Niro himself has four other children from previous relationships. He has a 35-year-old son, Raphael, from his marriage to Diahnne Abbott, and adopted Diahnne's daughter, 40-year-old Drena. He also has 16-year-old twin sons Julian and Aaron, who were conceived by in vitro fertilization and delivered by a surrogate mother, with ex-girlfriend Toukie Smith.
The "New Year's Eve" actor married his second wife Grace in 1997. The couple split in 1999, but never finalized their divorce. They renewed their vows in 2005.
