The first full trailer for highly anticipated superhero film "The Avengers" has finally been made available for viewing pleasure. The promotional trailer reveals for the first time, a glimpse of Bruce Banner who transforms into the Hulk.

At the end of the video, Tony Stark a.k.a Iron Man is seen shaking Banner's hand and saying, "Dr. Banner, your work is unparalleled. And I'm a huge fan of the way you lose control and turn into an enormous green rage monster."

Aside from giving a first look at the Hulk, the video also highlights plenty of explosions and fighting scenes. It opens with a footage where a busy city street gets bombarded and people run in panic to save their lives, while Loki whispers, "You were made to be ruled."

In the meantime, S.H.I.E.L.D's director Nick Fury arranges a plan to stop Loki from conquering the planet by bringing together the Earth's Mightiest Heroes. "There was an idea to bring together a group of remarkable people, so that when we needed them they could fight the battles that we never could," he says.

Directed by Joss Whedon, "The Avengers" is scheduled to open in U.S. theaters on May 4, 2012. Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth reprise their roles as Iron Man, Captain America and Thor respectively. The film also stars Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury.
