One "American Idol" alum is facing bizarre allegation. It was uncovered recently that a promoter has filed a police report against Bucky Covington, accusing him of stealing $1,500. The country singer, who finished eighth on season 5 of the talent show, however denied the insinuation.
According to TMZ, the 33-year-old singer was hired to perform at the Iron Horse Saloon in Ormond Beach, Florida on June 30 for a July 4 NASCAR race week celebration. But, when the promoter was rushed to a nearby hospital due to chest pains, he allegedly told his brother and his brother's wife to pocket money from the cash register.
It was further claimed that Bucky and his gang refused to give back the money they were accused of stealing. While an investigation is ongoing, the "Gotta Be Somebody" singer insisted on his innocence. In his response to the allegation, he told TMZ, "I'm just glad I'm big enough to be on TMZ! Thanks!"
