The 37th Annual Saturn Awards has taken place on Friday, June 24. During the event presented by the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films, "Inception" snatched five kudos out of nine nominations, including Best Science Fiction Film.

Additionally, "Inception" won Best Director and Best Writer prize for Christopher Nolan. The movie also helped Hans Zimmer rake Best Music award. Meanwhile, Chris Carbould, Paul Franklin, Andrew Lockley, and Peter Begg brought home Best Special Effects prize.

"Black Swan", "Alice in Wonderland", "Let Me In" and "Tron Legacy" were the films which won two awards each. "Black Swan" led Natalie Portman to receive Best Actress kudo and Mila Kunis to obtain Best Supporting Actress prize. Meanwhile, "Alice in Wonderland" took home Best Fantasy Film award and helped Colleen Atwood take Best Costume prize.

"Let Me In" grabbed Best Horror Film kudo and had Chloe Moretz bag Best Performance by a Younger Actor award. Meanwhile, "Tron Legacy" saw Jeff Bridges winning Best Actor and Darren Gilford bringing home Best Production Design prize.

"Salt" and "Never Let Me Go" were among other films taking home one award each. "Salt" won Best Action/Adventure/Thriller Film prize, and "Never Let Me Go" helped Andrew Garfield grab Best Supporting Actor kudo. "The Wolfman", "Monsters" and "Toy Story 3" bagged Best Make-Up, Best International Film and Best Animated Film award respectively.

At the Friday night event, Saturn Awards also presented prizes to the best in television. "Fringe" dominated with three prizes, including the one for Best Network Television Series.
