Paramount Pictures has reportedly hired helmers for "Paranormal Activity 3". Dread Central reports that "Catfish" directors Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman are on board to serve behind the lens for the horror film.

"Paranormal Activity" director Oren Peli will produce the upcoming installment alongside Jason Blum, with Steven Schneider and Jason Blum serving as the executive producers. Plot details are yet to be revealed. As the film is due October 21 for U.S. release, the production will likely begin soon.

A follow-up to "Paranormal Activity 2", "Paranormal Activity 3" got a green light from Paramount Pictures back in November 2010 following the successful box office performance of the second film. Christopher B. Landon and team up with Michael R. Perry to provide script for the movie.
