Video Premiere: Cake's 'Long Time'
Music

The John McCrea-fronted band bring in 'a vagabond and his monkey' to this newly-debuted music video.

Cake have just debuted a music video for their latest single "Long Time" on mtvU as part of its Indie Music Month. Instead of featuring the members of the alternative rock band, the animated clip made by Callicore Films revolves around a story of "a vagabond and his monkey."

"No concession. No compromise. Just one direction. That sums up both Callicore and CAKE - the story goes with 'Long Time,' the metaphor of a vagabond sentenced because he didn't follow the same road as others," it was explained.

Cake listed the song in their latest studio installment "Showroom of Compassion" which has been released since January this year. In the album's first week on sale, they debuted at No. 1 on Billboard Hot 200 by selling more than 44,000 copies.
