Some new photos from the production of "Thor" have surfaced. Though the pictures do not feature any of the actors, one of the images manages to give a look at the fake city especially built for the shooting of the upcoming superhero movie.

Set in a sandy area of Galisteo, New Mexico, some buildings snapped on the picture look like the ones featured in J. Michael Straczynski latest run of Thor comics. The on-set images which reportedly were taken by the crew members for Marvel's movie "Thor" can be seen here.

Beside filmed in New Mexico, "Thor" is also shot in a studio in Manhattan Beach, California. Kenneth Branagh takes the helming duty for this action adventure flick, with the script provided by Mark Protosevich, Ashley Miller and Zak Stentz.

The movie centers its story on Chris Hemsworth's Thor, a powerful but arrogant warrior who is cast down to Earth due to his reckless actions. He later learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of Asgard tries to invade Earth. Paramount Pictures eyes May 6, 2011 as the U.S. release date for the film.
