Patrick Stump has been booked to play at South by this year's Southwest (SXSW) Interactive, Film and Music Festival. Only this time, the vocalist is going to be performing solo without his band Fall Out Boy.

Patrick is scheduled to rock the event Friday, March 19, at 11 P.M. at the Dirty Dog Bar in Austin, Texas alongside The Young Veins and Courtney Love's revamped band Hole. During the gig, he is expected to showcase the new music he has written and produced outside the Fall Out Boy.

Patrick Stump announced his solo project in January this year. He re-designed his official website and updated it with a viral video featuring him playing various music instruments ranging from drums, guitar and keyboard.

Following his announcement, bassist Pete Wentz took it to his own blog, writing "I dont know the future of fall out boy -- as far as i know fall out boy is on break." The other members Andy Hurley and Joe Trohman also refused to give direct answers about the status of the band.
