The 'Pirates of the Caribbean' actress is set to star in a movie adaptation of Christopher Hampton's play that revolves around the founding fathers of psychoanalysis.

Keira Knightley has signed on to star in David Cronenberg's "The Talking Cure". The "Pirates of the Caribbean" beauty will be joined by "Inglourious Basterds" actors Michael Fassbender and Christoph Waltz.
According to Australian distributor Hopscotch Films, which has just nabbed the rights to the film, "The Talking Cure" will center on a beautiful young woman, who is driven mad by her past. It will also feature the characters of an ambitious doctor on a mission to succeed and an esteemed mentor with a revolutionary cure.
"The Talking Cure" is a movie adaptation of Christopher Hampton's play of the same name. The original plot follows the founding fathers of psychoanalysis, Carl Jung and Sigmund Freud, and their complicated relationships with a brilliant and beautiful patient, Sabina Spielrein.
David Cronenberg has been attached to direct the upcoming film since it was first reported being developed in 2007. After casting the three lead actors, "The Talking Cure" reportedly will begin production in Europe in early 2010.
