An unnamed source has said that Jessica and Billy have considered themselves "officially dating" though they haven't confirmed publicly the status of their relationship.

Five months after being dumped by Tony Romo, Jessica Simpson finds new love in Billy Corgan, who is the vocalist and lead guitarist for alternative rock band The Smashing Pumpkins. A source has told E! News exclusively that the rumored lovers have considered themselves "officially dating." The source, moreover, claims "She has fallen hard and is smitten."
No confirmation or denial has been made by both Jessica, 29, and Billy, 42. Their representatives also haven't returned calls for comments. Another source, in the meantime, reveals that Jessica's inner circle is not quite happy with the dating rumors.
"He's just another in an endless string of Jessica's boyfriends," the source tells E! News. "They think he's too old for her. No one takes any of her boyfriends seriously anymore because she has had so many. They're sick of all of them being 'the one'."
