"Desperate Housewives" will replace Nicollette Sheridan with another blonde. The new neighbor who will be moving into Edie Britt's house is none other than "The Young and the Restless" actress Rebecca Staab. Accompanying Staab in the house is fellow soap star David Chisum from "One Life to Live".

Relationship and name unknown, the duo will be introduced on Tuesday, September 22 in the first of eight-weekly vignettes which is also promoting Sprint Mobile. ABC Soaps in Depth reported that Staab and Chisum will make their debut in the fifth episode airing October 25.

Wisteria Lane will also welcome a new family in the neighborhood. The Bolens, Angie, Nick and their teenage son Danny, will get entangled in a story involving Susan's daughter Julie. Angie is played by Drea de Matteo, Nick by Jeffrey Hordling and Danny by Beau Mirchoff.

The sixth season of "Desperate Housewives" premieres on Sunday, September 27 on ABC.
