Cobra Starship and Leighton Meester hit Brooklyn's Transit Museum with West Side Story-inspired performance for the TV spot of 2009 MTV Video Music Awards.

After sharing screen in "Good Girls Go Bad" music video, Cobra Starship and Leighton Meester are once again paired up, this time for the promo ad of 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. In the video, they are seen reenacting West Side Story's musical number "Tonight".
The commercial advertisement was filmed at Transit Museum in Brooklyn and made use of a vintage New York City subway car. The dance moves performed by the band and the "Gossip Girl" star were choreographed by Wade Robson.
The 26th Annual MTV Video Music Awards itself will be held on September 13 at 9 P.M. ET with last year's host Russell Brand once again being billed for the job. Taylor Swift, Muse, Green Day, Pink, Jay-Z and Lady GaGa are tapped to sing at the event. Meanwhile, Nelly Furtado, Leighton Meester, Miranda Cosgrove, Katy Perry, Ne-Yo and Chace Crawford will present awards at the ceremony.
As for its nominations, Beyonce Knowles leads the pack with nine nods alongside Lady GaGa. Following their domination with seven gongs is Britney Spears. Fans can vote for the awards' winners by logging on to VMA.MTV.com. Those who are Verizon subscribers can determine the winners by texting VMA to 97979. The voting has been opened starting from August 4.
