Clearing the air up from false persistent reports of her dating Michael Cera, Charlyne Yi has confirmed to Moviefone that her relationship with the actor is just a professional bond and nothing more. The actress insists she never dated Michael.

"We weren't dating at the time [laughs] ... or ever. I also heard that we broke up [laughs]," she claims in a statement. On Star Magazine's report of them breaking up, she sets the record straight saying, "Someone sent me an article that said I was really sad. It says that I'm sad that we're touring together. But he's actually in Toronto right now filming a movie called 'Scott Pilgrim.' So that's interesting [laughs]."

Prior to Charlyne Yi's confirmation regarding the nature of her relationship with Michael Cera, both of them were believed to be dating. Last week, Star Magazine ran a story claiming the two called off their romance after three years of dating. It was reported that Cera was the one who initiated the split because he wanted to date around and Charlyne was very sad.

"He's been with her since before he was super famous, and now all these girls fawn over him. He's itching to date other people," the magazine cited a source as stating. And "Charlyne is beyond sad. And the break-up is so much harder because she'll have to see him on tour" to promote their new movie "Paper Heart", added the source.
