After deciding to pass his role on 'Unstoppable' earlier, the two-time Academy Award-winner has come to terms on a deal with 20th Century Fox for the movie directed by Tony Scott.

Two weeks after formally stating his withdrawal from "Unstoppable", Denzel Washington is coming back to join the 20th Century Fox's drama. On Wednesday, July 22, Variety reported that the two-time Academy Award-winner and the studio have closed the deal which makes the project back on its track.
Back on July 14, the publication came up with a story that Washington decided to let go of his attachment to the movie project. Rumors at that time suggested the actor left the project because the studio tried to cut down their budget which resulted in them asking him to shave some of his fee. Following Washington's withdrawal, the studio allegedly prepared a new offer with hope that he might reconsider his decision of leaving the movie project.
Though leaving the project, Washington was said to go with director Tony Scott to promote "The Taking of Pelham 123" in Europe and take a fresh draft of the film's script with him. Variety further mentioned that "He and Scott kept talking, and Washington's reps and Fox found a way to compromise on the deal." It was not mentioned though how the new deal affects Washington's fee.
Pre-production of "Unstoppable" has been resumed in Pittsburgh while the shooting itself will be kicked off in September. The movie centers its story on a veteran engineer, portrayed by Denzel Washington, and his conductor, portrayed by Chris Pine, who jump into a locomotive to halt an unmanned runaway train filled with a toxic chemical. Produced by Mimi Rogers, Julie Yorn and Tony Scott, the movie will be released in 2010.
