A new international trailer of "G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra" has been put forth through the movie's official Japanese site. Though containing many similar footage to previous trailers, this fresh promotional video does tuck in a brief glimpse at Joseph Gordon-Levitt's Cobra Commander in a single shot when he is seen standing next to Christopher Eccleston's Destro.

Previously, Gordon-Levitt has talked about portraying the character. To New York Magazine, he gushed, "My face is in it. There's this crazy kind of getup that I wear. It's got makeup and it's got all this other stuff, and it's a mask, basically. You can hardly tell it's me. And that, to me, is the best. That's why I love Daniel Day-Lewis or Gary Oldman."

"Actors like that, where they're so different as each character, the actor disappears. Doing G.I. Joe made it real easy to disappear because of all the elaborate stuff on my face. And it demands a totally different kind of acting style," the 28-year-old actor added. "You sort of check your realism at the door."

"G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra" itself is based on the G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero toy franchise. Directed by "The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor" producer Stephen Sommers, it stars Channing Tatum, Sienna Miller, Dennis Quaid, Marlon Wayans, Rachel Nichols, Arnold Vosloo and Said Taghmaoui among others. The action adventure has been set to arrive in U.S. theaters on August 7.
