Lloyd says he wants to leave The Inc. Records because he needs 'to take more control over [his] career and get a fresh start.'

Lloyd is no longer interested to continue his relationship with Irv Gotti's The Inc. Records. In a press release, the R&B singer says he wants to leave the recording company, citing the need for more control and change as the cause.

"I'm ready for a change," Lloyd states. "There's no bad blood. I just feel I need to take more control over my career and get a fresh start. Hopefully Irv can understand my position."

Lloyd's manager Henry Lee also has the same opinion, explaining, "We find ourselves in limbo for the second time in three years." He adds, "It's frustrating to know that opportunities to advance Lloyd's career are out there but we can't exploit them due to our current situation."

"Even though Lloyd is appreciative of the opportunity that has been afforded him by The Inc, he feels it's time for him to move on and seek opportunities that will allow him to build and enhance his brand," Henry concludes.

Though so, Lloyd does not rule out the possibility of working with Irv Gotti for future project. "We have plans to get in the studio with Jim Jonsin, The Runners, Cool & Dre, Rodney Jerkins and others. In the future, we still hope to work with Irv as a producer as well," so he claims.

Lloyd is not the only artist who is unhappy with the current situation in his label. Previously, Bow Wow and JoJo had expressed the same thing.
