It turns out that the love relationship of Paris Hilton and boyfriend Doug Reinhardt is short lived as a representative for the celebrity socialite has confirmed the two are breaking up. "In response to the inquiry on whether Paris Hilton has split up with Doug Reinhardt, yes, this is true they are no longer together. They remain friends and ask that you please respect their privacy," the representative tells People.

When Doug is asked about the matter, he says he and Paris are still together. "No, that's not true. Everything is OK between us," E! News quotes him as insisting. Judging from such fact, it seems that it is Paris who initiates the separation.

Paris Hilton and Doug Reinhardt were first romantically linked in February 2009 soon after news of him ending his romance with Amanda Bynes surfaced. Since that time, they were often photographed holding hands, hugging, and kissing at a number of public occasions.

Paris herself even gushed about Doug becoming her future husband. "He's going to be my husband," she said in early April. "We're best friends. It's not like we just met. We've known each other over the past year. I was in a relationship before and we reconnected. I'm really in love and really happy."

As for Doug, he seemed less sure about his future with Paris, saying "You never know" when he was asked about a possible wedding with her.
