DAUGHTRY's next installment is plotted to be put forward for purchase across United States on July 14. The not-yet-titled effort is recorded by Chris Daughtry and his bandmates in Los Angeles and promised to bring in "more gritty sounds."

The first single from the new album is titled "No Surprise". Co-penned by Chris and Nickelback's singer Chad Kroeger, the track will be showcased for the first time during forthcoming result show of "American Idol" on May 6.

In regard of the band's upcoming performance at the FOX's reality singing contest, Chris says he looks forward to debut the new song because the TV show's viewers "have been so loyal to this band." He states, "We wanted to give them the first listen to our new single."

DAUGHTRY have released their eponymous debut album "DAUGHTRY" in 2006. With this effort, they ruled Billboard Hot 200 and Billboard Top Rock Albums chart.
