It's official, Ellen Pompeo is pregnant. The actress, who is best known for her starring role as Meredith Grey on ABC's "Grey's Anatomy", is expecting her first child with music producer husband Chris Ivery.
Confirming the baby news, a representative for Ellen named Jennifer Allen tells People, "It's great news." Jennifer then adds the expectant parents are "ecstatic" about the upcoming addition into their family.
Ellen Pompeo and Chris Ivery, who have been married since November 2007, first met at a Los Angeles grocery store in 2003 and began dating about six months later. The couple became engaged in November 2006 after three years of dating.
Most recently, Ellen was spotted shopping for baby gear around Los Angeles. As of press time, there have been no further details shared about her pregnancy.
