After creating a frenzy at Agatha Ruiz de la Prada's show in Milan and causing causing temporary shut down on "Medium" production, Sacha Baron Cohen was able to pull a prank on the Alabama National Guard for "Bruno" filming. The incident was acknowledged by Staff Sergeant Katrina Timmons on Monday, March 16, more than a month after the incident.

"It's an embarrassment to the Alabama National Guard," Timmons commented on the incident. "Since then we have put in protocols to make sure this doesn't happen again." Of the trick, she recalled, "They called and said they were a German affiliate of a TV station doing a documentary on what it was like to be in officer candidate school. They wanted to know if they could come here and embed one person for a few hours up to a day."

The pranking stunt took place on February 13 when Cohen was under the guise of filming a German TV documentary and joined the Alabama Military Academy. He managed to trick them into allowing him onto a post, giving him a military uniform, and even briefly letting him train, before a young cadet recognized him. He was only discovered after he flashed his thong underwear as he changed his clothes.

In another news related to "Bruno", CBS "The Early Show" had provided a sneak peek to "Bruno" in July 2008. In the nearly three minutes preview, CBS reported that Sacha Baron Cohen promises hot women, $1 beer and cage fighting at the "Blue Collar Brawlin'" event, but spectators end up, seeing Cohen stripping down to his underwear and having same-sex kiss.

"Bruno" is developed from one of Sacha Baron Cohen's noted characters in comedy television series "Da Ali G Show". The movie is said to highlight the interviews between Bruno and unsuspecting guests, which allegedly include Arnold Schwarzenegger and Ben Affleck. Directed by Dan Mazer, it is set to open in U.S. theaters on May 15, 2009.
