Granted a preliminary "quickie divorce" on November 21 in the High Court of London, Madonna and Guy Ritchie have reached financial settlement in their divorce, with the pop superstar is set to pay the film director between $76 million and $92 million as part of their divorce agreement. The singer's longtime spokeswoman Liz Rosenberg confirms that matter to the Associated Press.
Liz explains the figure includes the value of the estranged couple's home Ashcombe, in western England, as well as their London pub, the Punchbowl, both of which will be kept by Guy. Meanwhile, no agreement has been reached over the custody of their two children together, 8-year-old Rocco and 3-year-old David. A representative for Guy declines to comment on the report.
Madonna and Guy Ritchie's divorce was officially confirmed by her publicist Liz Rosenberg back in October. To the Associated Press, Liz acknowledged the pair had agreed to end their nearly-eight-year marriage and ask for privacy. It was claimed that Madonna, who acted as the petitioner, said in a sworn statement that she was divorcing Guy for his "unreasonable behavior."
In related news, a representative for Madonna has shot down Internet reports claiming she and Guy will be spending Christmas together with their children. Of that Liz insisted, "Madonna will be spending the holidays in London. But, it is doubtful she will be spending it with the ex."
