Another "X-Men" movie is being developed by the 20th Century Fox. Entitled "X-Men: First Class", this young X-Men spin-off has enlisted Josh Schwartz, the creator and executive producer of hit television series "Gossip Girl", as the project's writer, so claimed Variety.

The publication further noted that when Schwartz is given the writing part, there is possibility of him directing the movie. However, the 32-year-old who also creates NBC's "Chuck" has allegedly chosen not to take the directing role.

Possibly serving as a prequel to the "X-Men" series, "X-Men: First Class" takes its focus on a younger set of super-powered mutants. It will be produced by Lauren Shuler Donner, the producer of all three "X-Men" movies, and Simon Kinberg, the "Mr and Mrs Smith" writer.

While Fox refuse to share further details on the project, the studio are reportedly developing another "X-Men Origins" movie, entitled "Magneto" and considering to make a "Deadpool" spin-off which will be based on a character played by Ryan Reynolds in "X-Men Origins: Wolverine". "Wolverine" starring Hugh Jackman and directed by Gavin Hood will be outed in U.S. theaters on May 1, 2009.
