British sculptor Marc Quinn makes a golden statue of her which will be put on display at the British Museum starting from Oct. 4 through Jan. 25 next year.

Having had her figure immortalized in wax and bronze statues, Kate Moss will have a new golden statue of her to be unveiled. The troubled supermodel who has become the subject of media scrutiny is immortalized in solid gold in a 1.5 million pound sterling statue to go on show at the British Museum.
It's British sculptor Marc Quinn who makes the creation. The British Museum has thus far only released a close-up photo of the statue's face. The work, according to reports, shows Moss in yoga pose just like her bronze sculpture which has been displayed at the "Mary Boone Gallery" in New York City.
Last year Quinn unveiled a bronze sculpture series called "Sphinx." The art work consisted of seven new bronze sculptures of Moss in various yoga poses, which were claimed to show the catwalk beauty as "a knotted Venus of our age." On naming the sculptures "Sphinx," Quinn credited Moss' mysterious persona to have given him such inspiration.
On his latest creation, Moss' golden statue, Quinn commented, "I thought the next thing to do would be to make a sculpture of the person who's the ideal beauty of the moment. But even Kate Moss doesn't live up to the image."
Moss' golden statue will go on display in the Nereid Gallery of the British Museum starting from Oct. 4 through Jan. 25 next year.
