Revealing more and more about his next movie project, 'Sherlock Holmes', Guy Ritchie noted that his version of the famous detective will see the complex side of the character.

Having been exposing that his feature film version of the famed 19th century detecive "Sherlock Holmes" will embody an action hero trait earlier, acclaimed filmmaker Guy Ritchie goes even further by exposing that Holmes will be seen as one complex character. Sharing his insight to USA Today, he explained, "His intellect was as much of a curse as it was a blessing. He was a deeply layered character."
Despite opening up details about the titular character, the "RocknRolla" director hasn't given any clue to the possible villain Holmes will be dealing with. However, words are Holmes is going to have a love interest that is based on Conan Doyle's Irene Adler. Additionally, he gushed that the film itself is going to be "a very big production, visceral and intellectual"
Based on Lionel Wigram's upcoming comic book, "Sherlock Holmes" centers its story on the detective famed with his magnifying glass, calabash pipe and and a deerstalker cap. It is scheduled to start its production in October for 2010 release with Robert Downey Jr. attached to the titular character role.
