Out of the ten albums vying for the 2007 Shortlist Music Prize, Feist's "The Reminder" was regarded the worthy one by the 'Listmakers'. The prize honors an album that was released last year and has not gone gold by the time of nomination, as chosen by a panel of musicians, producers and journalists aka the 'Listmakers'.

This year's Listmakers are comprised of Snow Patrol's Gary Lightbody, The Killers' Ronnie Vannucci, journalist Rev. Moose, KCRW DJ Chris Douridas and the hosts of Hunnypot Internet Radio. In a statement, Lightbody called Feist's piece "the album of the year for 2007 or any year I can think of: it's modern and classic all at once. There are so many kinds of beauty in this record."

With the winning, Feist's album has won over a number of other acclaimed records including M.I.A.'s "Kala", Arcade Fire's "Neon Bible", Spoon's "Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga" and Wilco's "Sky Blue Sky".

Provided by the use of the album's first single, "1234" on Apple iPod campaign, "The Reminders" has now sold nearly 515,000 copies in U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan. Through the album, she has been nominated for a number of prestigious awards such as Grammys, Juno Awards and BRIT Awards.
