The stand-up comedian turned actor, Dane Cook, is said to be preparing for depicting an action hero. According to MTV Movie Blog, the co-star of Jessica Alba in "Good Luck Chuck" has revealed his interest to star in an action film "Dead Already".

To the blog, the 35-year-old actor confessed that his next game plan is to explore the action genre. About the film, he said, "It's got a really interesting take-off from the typical buddy cop movie which has been done in so many ways. This definitely had an element that was like, 'Wow, I've never seen that before'."

Then, he added that though "Dead Already" is an action movie, it still shares comedy element. He said as quoted, "You got some crazy stunts and action sequences, but you got some comedy in there too. We'll see if we can get it off the ground, but I certainly would like to play in that area."

Aside from playing the leading role in "Good Luck Chuck", the actor that is famous for his comedy album "Retaliation" has starred in MGM's drama thriller "Mr. Brooks" opposite Kevin Costner and Demi Moore and in Touchstone Pictures' romantic comedy "Dan in Real Life" along with Steve Carell and Juliette Binoche. In 2008, he lent his voice for Jim Carrey's new animation "Horton Hears a Who!".
